Meet Arine Sulukdjian –

Do your relationships drain your energy, overwhelm you, and make you feel like “you can’t be yourself” around others? Do you sometimes think you “are not enough” or “need to do better?” Do you befriend or date the same kind of people unable to break out of unhealthy relationship patterns? If you think there could be something wrong with you, let me reassure you: there is nothing “wrong” with you.

Sometimes, early childhood experiences affect how we show up in the world and relate to others. We might struggle to trust others or make friends, feeling lonely and disconnected from the rest of the world. The struggles you are experiencing could be a normal reaction to “what happened to you.” You don’t have to face these challenges alone. My work with adult, teen, and child survivors of Domestic and Intimate Partner violence has shown me that anyone, regardless of age, can overcome unhealthy relational patterns and thrive.

Therapeutic Approach:

I work from a strengths-based perspective, which means I offer a non-judgmental space to help you focus on what works for you and explore and identify ways to better cope with life’s challenges. My goal is to support your growth and empower you with kindness, compassion, and a dash of humor. Therapy can be challenging at times, but it can also bring peace, joy, fulfillment, and hope.

I use verbal and creative expression, yoga, mindfulness, and somatic interventions to support children, teens, and adults in managing overwhelming emotions, learning healthy communication and coping skills, and establishing healthy boundaries. When we become more skilled at expressing our needs in relationships and respecting our boundaries, life becomes easier to manage and less overwhelming, allowing us to realize our true potential.

I’d love to hear from you to understand your needs and how I can support you! I see clients virtually in California.
